Code. P3449 cyl#7 deactivation what needs to be done?
and will driving it cause more problems?
The check engine light came on and I was at a dealer for oil change and they tested it and came up with a poss. Bill for over 500.00 is this what I can expect.

That is a average price for PCM replacement.
Engine breakdown is possible if not fixed and still driven. The possible caused are very simple to test and most likely the shop is correct of what is wrong.
