I know my car has remote start. Today I pressed the unlock button to many times and my car started without the key in the ignition. I just dont know how many times you press it or if you have to hold it down? So how do I start my 2007 Cadillac CTS remotly?

If it is factory remote start, your remote should have a symbol on one of the buttons that I can best describe as a recirculating circle. The way it functions is not with the unlock button. If the vehicle is locked, pressing the recirculating circle and holding it, the lights will flash, and the vehicle should start. If the vehicle is unlocked, you would have to press the lock button first to lock it, the press the remote start button, the lights will flash and the vehicle should start. In some cases this has to be enable through personalization. Another consideration, is if the lights flash and it does not try to start, this may be an indication that there is a powertrain fault that may prohibit it. I am not positive, but I think any powertrain code will disable remote start, and you may, or may not, have a check engine light on. If you have an owners manual, in may explain the system further, as well as provide you with the ability to apply what it states, at the time.
