When I attempt to shift from park to drive with the brake pedal depressed, gear shift lever will not move. I have taken the cover off the reset button by the shifter and depressed it. This works but I have to do this each time after I have placed the car in park. In addition the ABS, VSC and track off lights are displayed.

Check to see if your brake lights are working. No brake lights would trigger all those things.

I pushed on the brake pedal and the brake lights only came on one time out of three tries. What do I need to do to fix the problem.

Since the brake lights came on twice out of four tries, I assume that there is intermittent electrical power to the brake lights.

Diagnose and assume do not mean the same thing. You have to verify what and where.
