What's wrong with it? Ain't moving if so check and test the vehicle speed sensor if okay check the speedometer head assy/wiring

It is possible to recalibrate the readings but special equipments are required.
I have seen people doing it but never had the chance to understand how it is done.What I saw was that the meter cluster was removed and odometer taken out to be reprogrammed.

Yes, that would be the same equipment that was used during the manufacturing and programming process when it was assembled. Here's one for $3500 plus $1500 for updates.
