I need to replace the alternater, does the motor have to be lifted up to do this, Or is there another way.

Turn the ignition OFF.
Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure.
Remove the throttle body air duct.
Remove the accessory drive belt.
Disconnect the generator electrical connections.
Remove the generator to engine block bolts and the generator.

3.5L

Turn the ignition OFF.
Disconnect the negative battery cable..
Remove the air cleaner assembly.
Remove the accessory drive belt tensioner.
Install the engine support fixture.
Remove the front of the engine mount throughbolt and raise the engine for proper clearance.
Disconnect the generator electrical connections.
Remove the generator to engine block bolts and the generator.
