Re: 2006 Saturn Ion Key stuck in ignition in "on" run position so could not turn it off! Had to have roadside service come to disconnect battery and pull out a fuse to turn off car. They also could not make key budge, turn we and they tried putting in park, backing out, going foward, turning steering wheel this way and that, up and down nada key would not budge or even pull out! So Dealer wants $600 to fix this and that sounds outrageous! From my readings this happens in this car alot car only has $13,000 miles on it!So it isnt being driven alot! Driver side window won't work either and has been fixed once already. They want another $400 to fix it again! Car owner is 87 and these are very dangerous happenings!

Please don't start a new question to post a reply post all replies on your first posted question that way I get a email alert to tell me I have a reply rather then seeing you posted another question to post a reply. So the key is stuck in the run position and won't move in any other position? If so what happened is the key cylinder tumbler door came off jambing the cylinder in place and the housing and cylinder need to be replaced. As far as the window goes it's most likely a bad window motor but you would have to do some testing to figure that one out.

If you tell me the parts prices break down each part cost and labor per repair break down that would really help also.

Thank you for the info, didn't see the reply to post, but found it now, so in your estimate what should a repair of this nature cost a consumer?

As far as the window goes what are they replacing the whole regulator because I know the motors are available to change by themselves. If you give me the break down like I asked you too I can help you out a lot more since iam not there to see and make a estimate. Also there are a lot of sellers on ebay liquidating saturn dealers parts since they have all closed down for a great saving over dealer pricing. If you give me what I asked a break down of the estimates I can save you money here.I just need what I asked for.
