Key is stuck in ignition was told could be interlock what is needed to be done to fix this?

So does the key only move acc run and the start position? If so its your interlock there is a little door on the bottom of the steering column shrouds that pops off. Under it you will see a arm if you move that arm then you can turn the key off its the interlock from keeping the key from turning off.
