Car sounds like revving high but RPMs are normal

Whenever I get up to 40kmph its sounds like my car is revving way higher than it should be but the rpms are normal and the revving doesnt stop until I get below that speed again. Also the faster I go the louder it seems to get even after I switch gears, which I have no problems doing. Everything is working normally, no noticeable difference in any handling or gear switching or anything, just the noise. 2.2 ltr 4 cylinder standard trans.

Hello,

This sounds like you have a plugged catalytic converter but to confirm the issue lets follow this guide to fix the failure.

I had this problem as well the dealer replaced the catalytic converter for $780.00. I think I could have got it cheaper at an Independent garage.
