Can engine mount "test" stress hurt good mounts?

When I check my engine mounts by. Foot on brake. Put in D.A small accelaration. I understand what I am looking for BUT is the test stressing what may be good mounts enough to create a problem with the mounts. I have no idea and thats why I am asking before I do it. Can it hurt or shorten the life on my mounts by testing this way. Thank you very much. I really appreciate your site.I have learned a lot.

If the mount is good, it would not hurt but if it is failing, that would expedite the deterioration.
