After a couple months of replacing my clutch my engine makes a clicking noise when I accelerate. It never made the noise prior to replacement and seems to be getting louder and more intense. The mechanic said that it was the fuel injection.

Where is the noise coming from? What is emitting the noise and what is it related to, engine, transmission or drive axles?

The engine is emitting the noise. It is a clicking noise when I accelerate and hold my foot in the pedal in fourth gear. When I took it to the mechanic, they said it was the fuel injector.

If the fuel injector is clicking, the noise should not be too loud. I would think it is more likely to be the valve lifters.
