I have a 2006 Hyundai tucson crdi. After driving for about 100 miles on turning onto a road with a fairly steep incline that leads to my house my vehicle lost power and could not make it up the hill. I reversed and took another route with a flatter road. The next morning everything was ok (more or less I could go up the hill. The power of the vehicle was still not the best so I had the transmission rebuilt (TC included). It drove ok for the first two days however yesterday after driving for about fifty miles I missed my turn so I had to stop the vehicle refuse to move at first it just revved eventually it slowly moved off.
The power again was not the best, and it could not go up that incline leading to my home again. THat was last night this morning I tested it, driving a couple miles and it seems ok, went up the hill alright and everything.
The speed sensor on the transmission is also not working.
Could help please, the transmission cost me a tidy sum to have it rebuilt.

See if the speed sensor is warrantied by trans guy, if not fix that as it could be a shorted wire then scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge, auto parts rent the gauges

Thanks for your very prompt response. The speed sensor went before I took it to the transmission guy, I was unable to source the correct replacement as the one I got from the dealer had 25 -teeth gear while my sensor has 27 teeth. Also, I dont know if this is important but when I start the car the fuel filter light flickers a little before finally going out.
The vehicle was with the tranny guy for seven months as he had difficulty get a replacement torque converter (he was more than a bit lackadasical also), I just got it back on Friday.

Well do as I said in first reply, it may be a fuel pressure issue or blocked converter but I think more of a fuel issue.
