The factory service manual says to use a screwdriver. Will that work?

This is the procedure straight from the factory service manual:

"remove the center facia lower panel by pulling it using a screwdriver after disconnecting clips. Avoid damaging retainer clips."

This is as detailed as the service manual gets. If any other experts can help you more they will post here.
