My AC clutch is burnt up and I have now snapped 2 belts. Is there anything specific I need to to do when removing the compressor? I do not plan on replacing it. I simply plan on getting a new, shorter belt and routing it without the AC pulley.

The freon is empty. Does anyone possibly know what the belt length might be or is there an easier way of bypassing that pulley without taking out the entire compressor? I changed the last belt myself but not sure about getting this compressor out. I went through the wheel-well to get to it. Would that be the easiest way or is there a better trick?
