Loud pulley squeal on a 2006 Chrysler Town & Country. I recently changed the altenator and belt tenseinor, the idler pulley is off now & bearing is fine, the squealing gets louder when turning wheels, my first thought was "power steering pump" by hand no noise & smooth, the water pump however has a little end play & can get slight noise. What would you suggest?

Have you changed the belt recently? You may be able to use a long metal bar, with the engine idling, Place the tip of metal piece on the accessory body, you want to listen to, The other end goes on that bone behind your ear, helps to magnify the sound. Listen to each accessory body, where the sound is loudest, should be where the problem is located.

Warning: Don't get yourself--your clothing or the tool or anything caught up in the belt or pulley/whatever. Safety is your responsibility.
