I went to start the car and it turned off after about 2 seconds. I tried this a couple times, then it would not turn over at all. I tried to jump start the car battery (new battery) it did not work. I checked the oil and found it to be extremely low, about a quarter of an inch.

An indicator light came on. System or service immobilizer.

Make sure the oil is full. Was there any oil on the dip stick?

There was maybe a 1/4 " of oil on the dip stick.
Thank you for your help. I wish I could have made the donation. I will recommend this site on my facebook.

If the oil was on the dip stick, there was enough that the engine shouldn't have been damaged. That leads us to the next point, the lights. The Service Immobilizer indicates a problem with the SKREEM module. This is tied together with the vehicle's anti-theft system. The module is located in the vehicle, under the dash. If could be a bad part or a wiring problem to the module. I have attached a picture for part location.

Jacob and Nicholas,

Thank you so very much for your help. From this point, I feel it will be best to take it to the dealership. I pretty much only know how to turn the car on and drive. Apparently that's not always that simple either. Lol. Anyway thank you for your help.

Not a problem. I'm glad to help. When you go to the dealer, let them know you have an idea of the problem so they don't try to confuse you. Let me know what they tell you (if you want) so I can direct you.

Take care and let us know if you have questions in the future.
Joe
