Is it easier to drop the tank or take the bed off to change the fuel pump?

If possible drain the gas into gas cans first, especially if the tank is 1/2 tank to near full. Disconnect the EVAP lines and remove EVAP canister BEFORE dropping tank. Otherwise, you will break the lines which is a another set of problems.
