Knocking noise when starting

2006 Chevrolet Impala with over 150 thousand miles. When I start the car there is this knocking noise sometimes it knocks when I accelerate. I haven't noticed if it knocks when the engine is warm, but it does once its been sitting overnight or for just long periods of time.

Have a pro check this for a better diagnosis as we can't hear it. If your oil light comes on them it may be a bottom end problem. Make sure to check your oil. Engine must be off when you do that. It's the yellow dipstick
