Yesterday I was at a stop light, when I went to go I had nothing my car would only rev in both drive and reverse. Once I pushed the car out the street I got a transmission light on my dash. The car ended up being able to roll in reverse but a grinding noise was being made. I got the code P17e1, ratio monitoring clutch a. Does anyone know the possible issue? Thanks.

Hello, I'm Danny.

Have you checked the condition and level of the transmission fluid? If the level checks out fine I would suspect the forward drive clutches have failed. Check the transmission fluid level and clear code then go for a test drive up-shifting and downshifting through all gears. If symptom/not working persists the transmission is faulty. I've attached a description below. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
