The drain line from the evaporator coming from the fire wall has been dripping water for at least 3 hours since I got home. What is the problem? This has always stopped before within an hour of shutting the engine off. Do I have a bad evaporator or something?

It's working fine. It will still be cold for a while and humidity will be condensing on the evaporator and draining out onto the ground. You have a problem when nothing drains out.
