I recently bought a 2005 subaru legacy and I have a severe hopping feeling while turning either direction. any ideas?

Start by checking for a bent rim, then worn ball joints, cv joint and bent axle. Bad cv joints and axles will usually cause a vibration when driving straight as well, but you want to check them anyway.
