For the last week and a half while the heater is on I smell gas or exhaust coming from the vents and now when I park I smell gas outside the car. When im driving the smell seems to go away when im at a light it starts to get worse.

You need a shop asap before you have a fire. Any gas smell is a leak which could be deadly for you.

Please get it checked now before anything happens.

It is in the fuel delivery system, not the heater system.

Look at all the lines for leakage and replace as necessary.
