About 2 weeks ago my car listed above started slamming into gear very hard when I put it in reverse and drive. The gear slam is noticeably harder when putting it into drive though. I had my son take a look under the hood while I put it in gear and he said that the whole motor moves. I'm guessing its probably motor mounts need replacing but was wondering if there's anything else that may cause the motor to move while putting car into gear.

You are correct, the engine will have play inside the engine compartment and cause the slamming sensation. I would check the engine torque mount first because to take the brunt of the engine torque. Here are all of the engine and transmission mounts which will fix the problem for $119.00 on Amazon.

Let me know if you need instructions to help replace the mounts.
