Tire makes noise

My 2005 Pontiac g6 gt is making a strange noise from the right rear tire. Its a deep "Whoomp, whoomp, whoomp." As I accelerate. However, the noise dicipates as I reach 20ish MPH. I've been driving it for about a year now with this noise and its not getting any worse. Also, it has no effect whatsoever on the tread of the tire that I can see. Confusing.

I have the exact same problem only I see that you asked it almost a year ago. Did you ever find out what the issue is? I had problems with coupling tires, but the tires are fine and yet I still get a rattling noise. I'd appreciate a reply.
