Had a squeaking noise in serpintine belt area now the squeaking is gone and there is a grinding type noise when accelerating. Any ideas what it could be?

Is the grinding noise coming from the belt driven accessories?

Most likely the belt tensioner bearing is bad or one of the belt driven components has a bad bearing. What I need you to do is remove the belt and spin all belt driven accessories until you find one that is either hard to turn or makes the noise you hear. Do that and let me know what you find.

One other thought, once the belt is off, check for up and down play in the pulleys. Even the water pump could make the noise you described.
