2005 Mitsubishi Lancer stalls

Hi my problem is my car stalls when in park or at a stop sign or light it jolts and it takes a few seconds to accelerate and my engine light is on as well im just trying to get an idea of what it may be

Hello, it sounds like a possible vacuum leak or low idle condition. Do you have a way to read the codes and post them here for us? If not auto zone will read the codes for free and give you a printout and then you could post them here. The conditions you describe could be caused by so many things. Try to get the codes read and then we could be of more help to you.
