Ok I know squealing is mostly when belt is bad. I just replaced timing belt and water pump. My engine only squeals sometimes, but rattles like marbles when accelerating and changing gears. It is not knocking. There is oil on spark plugs and they corrode quickly. Could that be the problem? I don't see much difference in engine performance. I stay at low rpm (1500-2000) and not press gas hard the noise is almost gone.

If you didn't put a timing belt kit on then replace tensioner as well as belt and tensionser on engine for a/c. And p/s. Recommended replacement 60k try that first.

I replaced all tensioners and pulleys. It's coming from the top of the engine. Can I run my car with the valve cover off to see idk it is a lifter, or something else. How would I identify where it is coming from?

You can pull the valve cover but it will splash a lot of oil the sound may be louder so you can take a small broomstick to see where it's coming from by putting it to the engine at different areas. And holding to your ear. But first look for worn cam lobes etc. Prior to starting the engine
