My car is a 2005 Mazda 3. The battery had to be rePlaced in the 1st yr and now it has to be replaced again. My left headlight goes out within 10/11months every year. I have noticed my headlights flicker/ brighten/dim in the past. No one seems to be able to find a reason why these things happen, and I've been told to have these prOblems is not usual. What could be the problem here that my mechanics keep missing?

Could be a weak out put from the voltage regulator in the alternator. Have the performed a proper charging system test?

I hear your frustration. I too own a Mazda. I have a 2005 Mazda 6. Today, I had the 5th battery put in my car. Like you, the dealership has been unable to assess why my car continues to drain batteries at the cost of $200.00 a pop. This is the last straw for me and will be trading in my Mazda for a Toyota. I'm have been very disappointed in my purchase. I will never own another Mazda.
