I need to reset the anti theft system in this 2005 Kia Sorento.
The auto entry key would not work so we did manual and set everything off, now I do not know how to reset. Please help! I unhooked the battery to try to restart and that made things worse. It says there is a override button under dash, but I cannot seem to find one. I need to know how to reset set this thing I need my car. I have kids and need to get to work. I am sure it is simple, but I cannot seem to get it. Please help me reset this anti theft system.

Hey DENISE3634

to reset the alarm system roll up the windows and exit the car, next lock the door using the key and walk away for 30 minutes, then unlock the car using the key on the driver's door, this will disarm the alarm system.

Please let us know happens so it will help others.

Best, Ken

So before I have to start this car, you turn the key to the 'on' and wait for three little beeping noises and then proceed to push in the clutch and brake and turn the key to start it. Well today I turned it to the 'on' position and didnt get any beeping noise, so therefor I cannot start it. Do you know how to by pass this anti theft feature or how to start it?

No bypassing the system. You will need a shop to find the failure for you.

Did you try another key?

Electrical problem
2003 Kia Sorento 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 43k miles

Some has recently broke the window to my Kia, as a result the car alarm has been damaged. The car still lock up with the remote but the alarm sound is gone and so is the blinking red light on the dashboard! The car's honking horn has also been damaged and when I honk I get no sound at all. Please advise.
Thank you,
Sam
