Was in a drive thru and my jeep I saw smoke, but it was only stream. And right after all the coolant just drained right out. It hadn't over heated. But about 3 months ago it had overheated, and come to find all of the coolant was gone. I since have paid close attention to keeping it filled often and it didn't over heat. Then all the coolant just emptied. I added more coolant and nothing I put came out at all and was able to get it home. What happened and what do I need to replace. Ps. My air conditioner suddenly quit blowing cold air also a few weeks before initial over heating. Not sure if that is relevant. Thanks a lot.

The ac isn't relevant that is another problem. Take to a local pro and have it pressure checked for either a head gasket or freeze plug problem. It shouldn't have to have coolant added all the time.

Thank you. And when I say it leaked I mean it drained all of the coolant out in the jeep. I'll look in the book for freeze plug. So it's for sure not the water pump. When I filed or back up, for it was completely out of fluid, it all stayed in. Again thank you

If it stayed in then it may be a head gasket a pressure check and another test or so may verify that.
