2005 Infiniti FX thumps when D is initiated

My car makes thumps when D is initiated. Then I have to wait for another 10secs for the car to jerk forward again before initiating into Drive. Deceleration is a bit rough when getting back to gear 1 also. Car was scanned and no codes was displayed. This issue started when I activated snow mode 2 days ago at the beach. Only used the snow mode to park ny car. Please help

If no codes and was done at an auto parts have a ro doit because autoparts can't pick up all codes. It may be an abs problem or trans so have a pro scan it. It may be low on fluid as well if you can check it fine but a trans guy may have to do it.

I suspected the transmission was low on fluid so I told the mechanic to check it. He did and said I only needed 2litres on trans fluid to be added and this was done yet the issue persist. Could ABS issues cause a car to act like this?

Adding 2 liires is quite a bit I'd bet there is a clutch seal or pak going or gone in trans. Your trans only holds 10.3 liters so I'd have a transmission guy look at it or give an opinion. Of course it may be a broken motor or trans mount as well but beingthat low then I'd suspect something else has gone bad in it.
