Holden Rodeo Front seat problem

I have a 2005 Holden Rodeo and have lent on the drivers seat too hard when reclining it, now I can't get it to re-engage, How can I fix it?
. Please help!

Sounds as if you have damaged the recliner mechanism the seat will have to be removed and stripped for further inspection, you should be able to get a new piece genuine only I feel, I think that you have to drill out rivets and bolt in a new recliner lock.
