Engine has low idle sometimes

Engine has stalled once pulling into driveway, but cranked right back up. The idle just seems low sometimes, almost to the point of stall, but runs fine on the top end. It seems more noticeable when it is cold outside. The parts house states the fuel filter is not serviceable, which tells me it has to be a part of the fuel pump in the tank. Who has the best service manual for this vehicle?

The first thing I would do is check for vacuum leaks and remove and clean the idle air control valve and clean the port it sits in. And see how it changes the idle I would also take it to auto parts store and have it scanned for codes. If you have any codes please let me know the exact code numbers not code descriptions.I have always liked the chilton repair manuals myself.
