After changing a burned out alternator on a 2005 Freestar the speedometer quit working and the abs and brake lights came on and I cannot reset them. What is the procedure for accomplishing this?

Resetting those lights will require a scan tool. It would be a good idea to check the codes before you clear them out, just in case they come back you can compare

Heres a couple guides for you to read, they might help you figure out whats going on

Put a new alternator on in February, the speedometer will not work and all dash lights are on.

Scan for codes it may be a speed sensor and or GEM module. A mechanic will need to scan for GEM module problem.
