Blowing white smoke after my water tank cracked

I have a 05 f250 6.0. Water tank cracked and engine went into fail safe mode. Replaced tank yesterday and drove it all day with no problems. Went to work this morning and it blew white smoke for 5-8 miles then quit. Got off work and it blew white smoke what is happening

White smoke is not good. It could be a blown head gasket or it could be a bad egr cooler which is common. You need a good truck shop to help as this repair is best done by someone expierenced in the 6. Diesels.

The proper coolant is critical in this motor as if you mix it or put the wrong coolant in, it will produce huge issues with the cooling system.
