Ihave a 2005 ford escape 3.0 automatic transmission. I am having a problem with the pcm. It burned the orginal one in OCtober I replaced with one from junkyard, along with 2 coil packs and all new sparkplugs. It went out 5 days later. Purchased a refurbished one put it in with all new 6 coil packs lasted one day, they sent me new one put it in lasted one week. The car still operates but in limp mode. The codes are still the same saying coil pack errors. Could be something else that is causing the computer to go out a short in wiring?

I would be doing a continuity test off all ignition related system wiring back to the ECU (pcm) I would be looking for a short to earth.
