My truck has an auto transmission. When I put it in reverse and turning the steering wheel to back up, the horn will beep intermittently. I am thinking there is a bare wire behind the steering wheel, so I need to pull the horn bezel and steering wheel.

Remove the battery cable and wait 10 minutes for the capacitor to discharge. Remove the attaching bolts behind the horn pad and unclip the air bag/horn pad connector. Inspect this area first to see if the issue is there. There is an issue with the horn pads that they go off for no reason at times. Then unbolt the steering wheel and use a puller to remove the wheel.
