Dodge Ram pan

I am trying to pull the pan on an 05 dodge ram 1500 4.7. It comes down about a half inch and will not come down anymore. Why won't it come off? It clears the block all the way around a half inch. Can not get in to take the oil strainer loose. Something bolted to inside to keep it from coming down.

The oil pickup tube perhaps? Is it 2 or 4 wheel drive?

Sorry, I just saw that it is a 2 wheel drive. Alldata says the motor needs to be lifted off the mounts and the crossmember comes off, also the windage tray is integral to the gasket and does not come off, it looks like it needs to drop quite a bit after the motor is lifted. It also says to lift the motor with the special tool #8534.
