after changing my oil in my chevy truck is there anything you have to do to reset the oil life display?

Key on engine off depress accelerator pedal 3 times slowely oil light will flash it is reset if not repeat

Turn ignition ON, with engine off.
Fully press and release the accelerator pedal slowly 3 times within five seconds. If the CHANGE ENGINE OIL message flashes, the system is reset.
However, if message stays on, it did not reset. Repeat the procedure.
Turn ignition OFF.
If CHANGE ENGINE OIL message comes back on when engine is started, repeat reset procedure.
