ABS light come on dashboard assume need new brakes

The ABS light has come up on the dashboard so I assume I need some new brakes it keeps making a loud whirring noise. Any idea how to do the job?

I would agree that it sounds like the brakes are an issue. Here is a guide that will help with this:
