2005 Chevrolet Cobalt check engine light

i have a 2005 chevy cobalt an i had the oil pan replaced and it wouldnt start so i went on ahead an changed the ignition switch an it still wouldnt start check engine light is on now can you help me someone told me i need to reset the computer on the ignition switch do you know whats the problem

Have you checked to see if there is spark and fuel to the engine? Is the starter engaging? As far as reprogramming the computer, it requires specific tools that dealers have. I hate to say that, but if the problem is the key, you need to see a dealer.
