I was wondering what could be the problem with the brake lights on my 2005 Cadillac CTS. The lights stay on and they do not indicate that the brakes are being applied. The brake switch under the steering wheel has been replaced and the brake pads have been replaced. I was told that there is a short somewhere between the the fuse panel and the lights themselves. If so is there any way to check this, if not, what could be the problem, and hopefully the solution to the problem. Thank You

Ther eis a junction block undr rear seat if this car has a short in rear it may be between there and in trunk. If this has been scanned then you can check for that usually broken but if not scanned get that done first it may be an integration module or abs one of those things.

Thank You, will get that checked out. If not any of those, is there anything else that could be the problem?

Other than bulbs or maybe a bad socket not that I can think of if the switch has ben replaced but it continues to stay on. Maybe a relay but I couldn't find one in wiring schematic
