key fob with factory remote start rarely works to unlock doors or trunk or to lock doors or start remotely, I have replaced the battery three times thinking that maybe I was buying a bad battery but not so sure anymore. what else do I need to check ?

Take the remote to a auto zone parts store on the counter they have a key fob tester press the button to turn the tester on then press each button watching for a light on the tester to tell you each button is working.If only some buttons work you probably need to clean the key pad and circuit board.Please post a pic of the key fob.
