Code 70-02 a/t system malfunction: what does this mean? Is it a replaceable part or defective transmission sensor?

It means there is a fault in the transmission. I would watch this video because it shows the input speed shaft sensor being replaced which is probably your problem.

Same style transmission you can scan for codes to confirm the issue.

Thank you so much I changed out the sensor and the codes did not come back and the transmission shifts again thanks for you help.
