Astra CDTI Diesel, 2004. The car considering it’s a diesel, it fantastic, drives no problems, just play up when trying to start when its hot/warmed up, it will start 1st Time if its cold, even with all the cold frost we have had, no problem, but when it was warmer problems started, it’s a pig, it will fire eventually but can take a good few 20 sec of turning.

Please help, now I am being told its could / may be the common rail or something.

great site :-) helped me a bunch

It will fire but its like it takes so long, sum times 10sec or longer still on the first turn of the key but just takes so long, today I stoped and tryed the 2nd time and after about 5sec it fired.

I would say short tries are better than long. 5 secs sounds long enough for a try. Check the fuel filter also.
