When new, the car had a soft, smooth, ride, almost American. The ride got bumpier. Shocks were gone. Replaced shocks and tyres in the last two months. Ride still feels rough. When idling, engine sometimes gives sudden jerks, like a misfire.
Wife has read (in an on-line manual in Japanese) that this could be connected with bearings, perhaps in transmission. (I can't read Japanese, she can't translate exactly.)
Any help or advice much appreciated.

Do you have a check engine light and when was last tune-up?
Have the suspension components checked and also have the computer scanned for codes-A misfire can be caused by compression, lean fuel condition and ignition problems

The Check Engine light isn't coming on. I had it serviced two months ago, but not a tune-up by name.
Suspension should have been checked when the new shcoks were installed. Perhaps they missed something.
