Ive got a clio sports 182 2ltr that has failed its mot it failed on high emissions so paid to have catalic converter changed and both lambdas and still it too high now being told it needs vernier pulley inlet plus cam belt kit could this be the case also is there another name for vernier pulley as know one seems to have one thanks

I have no idea as to what they mean by a vernier pulley and the timing belt will do little to rectify this problem, I think that you need a better mechanic that can test the car an not waste you time and money.
