2004 grand prix. P0300, overheating, white smoke from exhaust, slight hesitation during acceleration for 10min, after 10min becomes severe with whirling noise (not supercharger). Dealership replaced one ignition coil, spark plugs, and cat is not the issue. Second time they've tried to fix it but I guess they forgot to check after installing new part.

White smoke is usually steam or raw gas. Overheating would point to steam. Losing anti freeze? Maybe bad head/intake gasket? Cracked head?

P0300 random misfire. If steam out back should drip more water from pipe than usual even after warm.
