2004 Xterra Cylinder 5 Speed Manual Transmission w/110000 miles. 2wd

Ok hopefully someone can help me out. I just moved and bought a xterra
that was running like a dream for the last month. My cousin drove the car this morning and said it drove fine except my lose alternator belt that squeels every morning which is normal. I jump in the car about 2hrs later and immediately I hear a weird ticking noise, I back the car out of the driveway and put it into 1st (5speed manual tranny) drive 200ft down the road and it has NO POWER not a slight reduce in power it has NO POWeR. So here is what I have established

HAS OIL
NO WATER IN THE OIL
NO OIL IN THE RADIATOR
NO CHECK ENGINE OR LIGHTS ON THE DASH
NO BLUE OR BLACK SMOKE WHEN YOU START THE CAR OR WHEN YOU RUN IT
NOT OVERHEATING

The noise seems like its coming from the radiator area of the motor or top of the motor. Could it be a bad lifter or a Knock sensor or Map censor? Any information would be much much appreciated.

Thanks Daniel
