I go to to bleed the brake a little air comes out

I replaced the front right caliper and pads. When I go to to bleed the brake a little air comes out and a little bit of fluid just intermittently comes out. Fluid in reservoir is not going down. Before brake was replaced they seemed mushy of and on. Could my master cylinder be bad?

Hello,

It is possible to have a faulty master cylinder.
But the first step would be to make sure the brake system has been bled properly.
Even with little amount of air the pedal will be soft.
Keep in mind that ABS brake systems require a scan tool to bleed properly.
