Check for vacuum leaks, check the idle air control valve, and make sure the air filter and air inlet are clean and not blocked. If the check engine light is on, have the computer scanned to identify where the problem is coming from. Most parts stores will do it for free.

Replace( tps) throttle position sensor $23.00; (maf)mass air flow sensor $110.00.
